Peace With Christ Christian School in Aurora, Colorado began in 1993 when a number of Peace With Christ Lutheran Church members expressed interest in starting a Christian school for their children and the children of the community.

The idea of touching the hearts and lives of local children and families developed quickly and our school opened its doors in August, 1994. PWCCS began with an enrollment of 60, K-8 students, four full-time teachers, a full-time teaching principal, and parent-volunteers to fill in the gaps. Classrooms were combined into K, 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, and 7-8 and shared the remodeled lower level of the Church with its previously established Early Learning Center.

During the 1996-1997 school year, the congregation undertook a major building campaign to add a large worship center which served double-duty as a full-size gymnasium. The former sanctuary was remodeled creating four new classrooms allowing space for each grade. Enrollment grew to 165.

In 1999, PWCCS completed the NLSA self-study and welcomed a visitation team. On September 1, 1999, PWCCS was accredited by the National Lutheran School Accreditation Commission.

Today, we are proud of our A+ RATING, our students who have consistently scored in the TOP 10-15% in the nation, and being voted BEST OF THE BEST by the readers of the Denver Post. We are one of the few schools to include technology, art, music, PE, and religion classes to all grades as well as advanced math and tutoring when needed. We also offer extracurricular activities such as basketball, soccer, volleyball, track, Student Council, Band, and Lego League to name a few.

Peace With Christ Christian School has been blessed and gives thanks to God for the strong positive leadership that has built our school to what it is today. We look forward to you and your child becoming a part of our family.
