Athletic Life
At PWCCS, students in grades 4 through 8 can participate in interscholastic sports including soccer, basketball, and track for boys and volleyball, basketball, and track for girls. Peace With Christ competes in the Denver Area Lutheran Schools league (D.A.L.S.) with priorities in Christian love, sportsmanship, and forgiveness.
Our goals at PWCCS include providing opportunities for students to learn the basic skills and techniques of each sport while promoting attitudes about teamwork, leadership, cooperation, and sacrifice. A student’s ability should not prohibit us from carrying out our purpose; therefore, we encourage participation in athletics regardless of ability or experience. All students will be given opportunities to learn in practices and play in games. As part of a well-rounded approach to the entire school, we want to see our students grow physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.
On the second Friday each May, all students from 1st – 8th are invited to participate in our annual Field Day – a gathering of fellowship with school families and friendly competition with other Lutheran schools along the front range.
